OsamaSon is Catching Up to Opium.

OsamaSon is closing the gap between himself and Playboi Carti’s Opium roster, standing shoulder to shoulder with names like Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely. His latest album, Psykotic, proved it by debuting at #2 on Spotify globaly and cementing his status as one of the most relevant voices in the underground’s evolution toward the mainstream.

Psykotic shows OsamaSon refining his sound rather than repeating it. His vocal layering, glitch-heavy production, and flow feel more dynamic than ever. While Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely continue to polish a formula that worked three years ago, OsamaSon is trying to push the genre forward.

Meanwhile, Opium’s recent releases have struggled to meet sky-high expectations. More Chaos and <33 both landed with less impact than anticipated. They were solid projects, but lacked the sense of danger that once defined Opium’s rise. Psykotic stands out because it feels new, not nostalgic, and marks the moment OsamaSon began to outpace the sound he was once accused of biting.

What makes this even more impressive is that OsamaSon has achieved a near-equal fanbase to Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely, without the marketing muscle of a Carti-backed label. If he keeps evolving at this pace, the next wave of rap might belong to him entirely.
